Hi, I am new to this website and I would like to know what this website is all about. Plus, I kind of have a problem of my own that I was hoping some of you guys could help me with.

I recently recieved a Compaq LTE 5000 from a friend and he asked me to fix it for him. The laptop seems fine, but it wont boot past the BIOS or startup menu. I am kind of clueless about what happened. I feel that maybe some of the drivers have been deleted. Can some one please help me?

I notebook that won't get past bios probably has a hard drive problem. Make sure the bios is set to default and if it still won't boot then it doesn't have an OS installed or the hd has cratered or the OS files are missing or corrupt.
