Everest does not identify the sound chip properly as there is no such sound device as Intel 82801DB. There are only a few sound chip makers in the world.... amongst them are Realtek, Cmedia, Via, ADI SoundMax, and Sigmatel. You must determine which sound chip your motherboard contains and download the matching driver accordingly. The possibilities for your QDI ? motherboard include the following (for sound chips):

VIA AC'97
SIS7012
ALC201A
ALC201
ALC655
ALC650E
ALC650
AD1881
VIA686
VIA8233
VIA686
VIA8233
Crystal 4299

I put a "?" behind QDI because your hardware id program didn't provide a specific motherboard model, ie: Motherboard Name: QDI BA1 / BA1/GV / PlatiniX 2E/333 / PlatiniX 7B(L) / PlatiniX 8 / PlatiniX 8/333

You will need to examine the motherboard and try to determine which chip the mb. has for sound. Normally the chip is sitting in the back left corner of the mb. when sitting at the front of the motherboard. A light and magnifying glass may be required to read the lettering on the chip. While looking also see if you can determine the exact mb. model number. It should be highly visible and easy to find as it's normally written in silk-screen white color but could be some other color such as yellow. And older motherboards may have a paper sticker stuck to the mb. that contains the motherboard model #.

This is the download page for QDI BA1 sound drivers: http://www.qdigrp.com/qdisite/eng/support/d_downloadcd.htm

Also, AC'97 is only a term Microsoft developed in 1997 defining sound standards. Almost all sound chips and sound cards have AC'97 technology if built between 1997 and 2007. It has been replaced with the newer "HD" (high definition) technology.
