I'm sorry to bother you, but I'm in need of help and I have tried the entire day without finding the right driver for my sound card!

With the aid of "everest", I found out that my sound card PCI/Pnp sound is
Intel 82801DBM ICH4-M - AC'97 Audio Controller

The computer I have is a laptop from
Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pro V2000

So, is there anyone who can help me?

P.S I don't have the utilities drivers CD anymore!

Intel 82801DBM is not a sound chip and neither is AC'97. AC'97 is only a term adopted by Microsoft in 1997 defining sound standards. It has been replaced by HD (high definition) audio standard. Sound chips bear names like Realtek, Cmedia, Conexant, Crystal, ADI SoundMax, and Sigmatel.

Laptops cannot use generic drivers like desktops can. They require specific drivers from the laptop maker so I suggest you visit the Fujitsu-Siemens website to download a driver that will work.

The manufacturer used the Cirrus Logic (Crystal) CS4299 chip in this laptop, which is very old technology.
