This Intel motherboard doesn't have an Intel 82801 sound chip, it has an IDT 92XX audio chip. You can get the driver from this Intel page. (downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&Inst=Yes&ProductID=2482&DwnldID=13706&strOSs=44&OSFullName=Windows*%20XP%20Professional&lang=eng)

Jerry,

I downloaded the driver, installed it and in the middle of the installation it stops and says that the system doesnt fit with the driver..

What do I need to do? If you guys need more info' please tell me which and how to get it...

Thank you all very much!!

That is the correct driver for the hardware device and OS so all I can tell you is it should work. Did you uninstall the old audio driver first?
