I cant find the audio driver for my 1700T laptop.

Here is my Everst report:

There is no such audio chip as Intel 82801. Sound chips bear names like Reatek, Cmedia, ADI SoundMax, and Sigmatel. Also, laptops cannot use generic drivers so an Everest summary is of no benefit in this particular case.

You listed 3 different laptop models, ie: 1700Y, 1700T, and 1711T. So I suggest visiting this page (h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/siteHome?dlc=en&lc=en&cc=us) and try to determine what model your pc is and type it into the box. Once done and you select your OS from the menu, the resultant page will show if an audio driver is available for Windows XP. If HP doesn't provide this driver then I suggest you get on the HP Support Forum (h30434.www3.hp.com/psg/?category.id=Notebook&lang=en&cc=us) and do a search for your model number since I doubt you're the first person asking for this driver. If it's been asked in their forum, then you should be able to find an answer quickly.
