I just reformatted my desktop computer today and I have 4 problems: Ethernet Controller, Multimedia Audio Controller, PCI Modem and SM Bus Controller. I don't know how to get the drivers or what they are because they say Unknown. My ethernet port is built into my motherboard. Can someone please help me. I'm posting this from my laptop because my desktop wont connect to the internet due to one or more of the previously stated problems.

This is my first post on this site. I don't know if I'm in the right section or not. If not, will a moderator please move my thread? I really need help.

One of the most important factors to consider when asking for help is to identify the hardware. If you're unable to do so then use the following programs:

http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
and

To find make and model of pc hardware, EVEREST Home Edition is a free system diagnostics, system information program that will id most hardware onboard a mb. as well as the actual motherboard.

http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/Everest-Home-Edition.shtml

Alternate Everest download link: (offers 2 sites to dl program from)
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/EVEREST-Home-Edition-Download-16369.html

Run the program and then:

Click on Computer
Click on Summary
Right hand window (hardware) if the text is BLUE this is a link to the web site for that particular hardware.

If you have additional questions or need further help, please post a SUMMARY report from Everest.

Southbridge: nVidia nForce2 MCP
