Thanks for the response. I tried DriverGuide but they want me to pay money to get any drivers.

I finally loacated the CD with drivers, and yet even that didn't work. I install the driver from the setup program on the CD, and the wireless card seemed to work - until I rebooted the laptop. Then it came back with "new hardware found" and tried to reinstall the driver but when it tells me to reboot to complete the installation, it again says "new hardware found" and the vicious cycle repeats. I've even deleted the driver from the System32/drivers folder, removed the software, uninstalled everything, and tried it again. Same results.

This card worked fine on my Dell laptop, but this old HP Pavillion seems not to like it. It does work with my Netgear Wifi-B card, but that is so slow.

I'm out of options at this point. Any suggestions?
