I just reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled the driver (Damond Viper V550 for win 98) and my computer won't accept changes to my display. I know I have the right driver for my VGA. Any thoughts?

Try this , install new driver then re-start you computer, then change display settings. If that doesn't work Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 182595 @ http:// support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid+182595&product+w98 might help. Good Luck
