The MS-7525 is not a retail motherboard, it's an OEM motherboard that MSI custom built for HP/Compaq and called the Boston GL6 by HP.

In order to see what drivers are available, you must visit the HP/Compaq website and type the pc model number into the box, then click NEXT.

Note: MSI doesn't provide support for OEM boards, they leave support to the vendor. And unless HP shipped your pc with Windows XP installed, they won't offer any XP support. If you are trying to convert the machine from Vista to XP, why not just say that's what your trying to do?

We have the same problem, I still can't find the driver that will suit to Windows XP O.S.

Please provide the laptop brand and model number and a brief description of the LAN device. You gotta give us something to work with otherwise we cannot help.

If you are unable to do so, then you must install Everest and CPU-Z software while the machine still has Windows Vista installed. These programs can normally help with the task of identifying the hardware.

Try this Intel driver. It's a combo driver for Video and HDMI Audio for several different Intel based chipsets. After unzipping, read the readme.txt to get a feel of the driver.

Installation is accomplished by launching the SETUP.exe file and follow the on-screen prompts. You will probably be prompted as to what you wish to install.

I won't guarantee it will work but if it doesn't, it won't do any harm. I've looked long and hard for this driver and this is all I can come up with. It appears that the GMA 3100 is also known as PMG31 from reading the text file included. Follow the instructions as close as you can and see what happens.
