eMachines doesn't offer any ethernet driver for Windows XP since they only shipped this pc with Windows Vista installed. Did you forget to tell us you changed the OS?

This machine was shipped with a Realtek RTL8139/810x Ethernet device. Since eMachines doesn't provide any support in Windows XP, that leaves only one place for support.

eMachines has a website where you can download drivers

While they may have support, this is not an official eMachines website. The official website is www.e4me.com

I did some searching... Here is the link to download the driver from intel. The motherboard is a D915GUX and the ethernet is through Marvell. Enjoy!
