I just installed windows xp on a very old gateway for my father. it's a solo 5300 and it won't read the netgear WG 511 v2 pc card we used when it had windows 2000.

gateways site was no help at all, so it would be lovely if one of you guys could help.

I'm not bad with computers but just so I know is it called a pc card, pcmia, or pci or none of those.
