Hello!
I'm looking for the newest BIOS for the LG E500 V.APSCG Notebook! It must be for WinXP (I think there's a different BIOS version for Vista)

There is a BIOS to download on the LG service page. But i have no idea to install it... the installation manual says that i should install the .rom file with the Installer - but there is no ROM file included.
the zip file that should contain the bios includes the folowing files:
A163GSL1.10U
AFU.CIF
AFUDOS.EXE
AFUWIN.EXE
AMIBCP.EXE
AMIBCP.CIF
Ucoredll.dll
UCORESYS.SYS
UCOREVXD.VXD
UCOREW64.SYS
Is that a working BIOS? and how to install it? or is this just the BIOS installer and the BIOS is missing?
anyway the installer that came with the download(AFUWIN.EXE) won't find any BIOS file in this directory...

Look at the file listing again. The file named A163GSL1.10U is the BIOS image. You may rename it to *.rom if you want. Also the file AFUDOS.EXE is the Award Flash Update for DOS utility. Other files a for Winflash. Create a bootable floppy/USB flash, copy afudos.exe and a163gsl1.10u, boot from it and run "afudos a163gsl1.10u". BIOS will be updated.
