Operating System: Windows XP Professional
Age of Device: < 2 years old
FCCID:

i've bought an usb memory stick (http://www.corsair.com/products/survivor/default.aspx 16 GB model) few days ago and i've seen that it doesn't work properly. i've copied 14 GB on it and it took about 50 minutes. by my calculation it results an aproximatively 4.5 mb/s speed which i think it isn't a realy good one for USB 2.0. i suppose that i have usb 2.0 (the word "enhanced" appears in the Device manager at the Universal Serial Bus controllers). i want to reinstall the USB driver but i've lost it. i've been looking over the internet for it and found nothing.

This device doesn't require a driver in Windows XP. It's a plug and play device providing you plug it into a working usb 2.0 port. It should copy data several times faster than the current speed. It should take no longer than 5-6 minutes to fill with data. And usb controller drivers are provided by SP2 or SP3. If you don't have the service pack installed, you will only get usb 1.1 speed which could account for the slow speed.
