DRIVER FOUND - but can't install.

Following an SP2 install my IBM Netvista Desktop will no longer reboot. I understand my BIOS needs updating to cope with SP2. Following the advice on these pages, I have identified my BIOS as being an Award Modular V6.00PG which the BIOS ID String reveals to be an Aopen MK33 product.

Having downloaded the latest BIOS update from their website for this product. I have extracted the files from zip and am left with a .bin file and an executable.

This must be a painfully obvious question but how do I actually install these files to update the BIOS. I have tried copying the files to floppy and booting but the PC does not self-extract and asks me to remove the floppy?

Thanks in advance.

run the executable file, then tell it to use the bin file.

If all else fails, look for a txt file in the unzipped folder. It will probably give details of how to install the bin file.
