Need to reinstall Windows 98 to my PC. Made startup disc, but when I get to the MS DOS promt and type in SETUP.....get "bad command or file error". Does not recognize my Mitsumi CD ROM. What can I do?

Does not recognize my Mitsumi CD ROM. What can I do? First of all the start up disk will only help if you can load a cd driver in dos mode. Instead of using the start up disk try a Windows 98 Boot disk which if you don't have you can retain a boot disk from some web sites which gives you a common cd driver to use Royce 11-13-2003, 01:59 AM Try going to www.bootdisk.com and downloading a boot disk there |
