Intel 82801DBM is not a modem nor a modem chipset. Just check the Sound forum and the USB forum and you'll see hundreds of sound driver and USB driver requests for this same chip. So how can some folks have a 82801DBM sound card and others a 82801DBM modem and others have a 82801DBM usb controller? Your machine may have an Intel 82801DBM chipset but it's not the modem.

Did this modem come installed in your pc at the time of purchase or was it added to the machine later? If it came installed in the machine (ie: OEM), give us the brand and model of the pc. If it was added to the system (ie: retail modem) then we need the modem brand and model and the main chipset number along with a fcc id number.
