Device Manager doesn't tell you a driver should work... it tells you whether it's working or not. No gray area.

Have you checked the software Volume controls to make sure they are not muted and that the volumes are turned up.

Has the sound ever worked on the machine?

Are you sure you got the right driver installed for this machine?

I found a driver package with drivers for graphic, acpi ,udma with including sound drivers, i get all other hardware to work its only the sound card isnt working. And in device manager it shows all hardware should work but dont get any sound and i have checked the volume controls and checked the options for sound that i choose what sound card will use, etc.

From the beginning its a Thin client with Windows CE installed on a DoC(disk on chip) but now i have installed a hard drive into it. and i think the sound card worked before.

many devices is intregreded in the CPU because is i Geode if you now?

I'm not sure what your describing, ie: motherboard, sound device, or pc system.

Try giving me the brand and model of your pc (if the sound device came installed in the system at the time of purchase). There are only a few sound chip makers in the world. The most popular sound chips bear names like Realtek, Cmedia, ADI SoundMax, and Sigmatel. Very seldom will you see a sound chip integrated on a motherboard that doesn't have one of the chips I just named.

I've never heard of "Geode GX1 CS5530" so tell me what it is.

It's strange that the audio is also described as the IDE controller, the Legacy controller , the SMI controller and the Video controller.

eg:
Bus 0, Device 18, Function 3 Cyrix Cx5530 Kahlua Audio

Bus 0, Device 18, Function 2 Cyrix Cx5530 Kahlua IDE

Bus 0, Device 18, Function 0 Cyrix Cx5530 Kahlua Legacy

Bus 0, Device 18, Function 1 Cyrix Cx5530 Kahlua SMI

Bus 0, Device 18, Function 4 Cyrix Cx5530 Kahlua Video

I cannot help you until you answer my questions:

1: What is Geode GX1 CS5530
a: motherboard model?
b. sound chipset number?
c. pc brand and model number?
d. Other?

2: Is this device used in a desktop or laptop machine?

3. If it's integrated on a motherboard, what is the brand and model of the MB.?

4: What is the brand and model number of the pc it's used in?

If the machine is OEM (eg. - built by some pc maker like Gateway, Compaq,Sony, Toshiba, HP, etc.) we need to know what it's brand and model number is. In this case, no motherboard model is required.

If the motherboard is a retail mb., we need to know who built it and what model number it is.

Product page: http://www.termtek.de/product_tk3000.html

Termtek doesn't offer drivers free for downloading. I'm not sure they offer anything according to their scanty website info. Sorry but I can't help you unless you can identify the sound chipset. I'm not real sure I could help even if I knew the sound chipset number.

The only thing I can suggest is to contact the manufacturer and ask them for the driver you need.

One last thing you might try is to use a magnifying glass with a small flashlight and look on the MB. for a small 1/2 inch or smaller square or rectangular chip and write the numbers down from it. Repost with those numbers and I might be able to find the correct driver.

Your link is no good. Did you mean this url instead?

Never had any experience with this obsolete chip. Still looking for a driver.
