82801db is not a sound chipset number. Sound chipsets bear names like Realtek, Cmedia, ADI SoundMax, and Sigmatel.

Please provide to us your pc system brand and model or if it's on a retail motherboard, the brand and model of the board.

Don't use any diagnostic software like Everest because it will lie about what the sound chipset is. It will tell you it's a 82801DB which isn't true. The same diagnostic software will tell you that everything in the system is a 82801DB chipset.

how do i find out my pc brand and model?

by eyeballing it and look for model numbers stamped usually in white ink or by using Everest Home Edition software. While you're looking, check to see what the sound chipset number is. It's usually less than 1/4 of an inch in size and square or rectangular in shape.

help agian i downloaded it and still no sound.so i checked drivice manager and looked at my multimedia audio controller and it says no drivers installed.
