You must also set the parallel port to enhanced in BIOS setup for it to work.

Gday Jerry K, thankyou very much for trying, i downloaded each of the results: EPSON Scan (3.0u) EPSON Scan 20.18 MBs - 01 February 2007, EPSON Scan (2.7t) EPSON Scan EPSON TWAIN Pro (2.1d) 2.69 MBs - 01 January 2004, but no joy as they are scussi and not parallell, or did i miss something....i am still searching, there must be something out there.. i am open to any suggestions. cheers eve.

I got the following info from the user manual posted here: (www.gwdg.de/service/drucker/scanner/dokumentationen/epson12000.pdf) [on page 20]

This scanner has both a bidirectional parallel interface and a SCSI interface. The scanner switches automatically to the appropriate interface.

It doesn't make sense that Epson would post separate drivers rather than a single driver that handles both interfaces. It would make sense too that during installation, the install program would ask you to select which port you're using. Another clue that a single driver covers both ports is no where I've found drivers posted is there separate drivers posted for SCSI and Parallel Ports.

Please read page 3-21 - it contains info about the PageManager software.

And you might want to try this driver: http://www.updrivers.com/downloadnow/19317.html

Hi there ! Also same problem. Connected GT-12000 with parallel, installed Epson Scan Software, which includes driver. Downloaded Twain 2.d also and tried manually to install the scanner as described. Also it does not work. You can not see anything selectable in the field after you selected the correct inf driver file, as if the driver was corrupt.

Anyone any idea ? Thanks in advance !
