i switch hardrives on my pc,cause the first on messed up. and this one doesnt have the driver for the cdrom drive. and it wont let me use it.
so as you can see i really need this driver.
i also dont know the interface i dont know what that means

No driver is required for this device when used in Windows XP. The XP OS provides native support that allows this drive to read a data or music disk and to burn a cd-r disk.

If your drive is external then it must have a USB, SCSI, or Parallel port interface, ie: how the drive connects to the pc.

Clarify the drive interface and tell me if the drive is listed in My Computer and Device Manager.


News flash: the Teac cd-w28e is not an external drive.... it's an internal slim-line model (for laptops) having an IDE/ATAPI interface.... and it still does not require a driver.
