That's because Acer only shipped this machine with Vista installed. There is no XP support for it (or at least it's not posted in the normal places)
I doubt you can find a specific driver for this device but you might scour the Acer website and try to find a similar model with the same device and has support in Windows XP. Will require some searching and looking and then you still may not find anything that will work.
An alternative is to try Everest Home Edition program:
To find make and model of pc hardware, EVEREST Home Edition is a free system diagnostics, system information program that will id most hardware onboard a mb. as well as the actual motherboard.
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/Everest-Home-Edition.shtml
Alternate Everest download link: (offers 2 sites to dl program from)
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/EVEREST-Home-Edition-Download-16369.html
Run the program and then:
Click on Computer
Click on Summary
Right hand window (hardware) if the text is BLUE this is a link to the web site for that particular hardware.
If you have additional questions or need further help, please post a SUMMARY report from Everest.

These XP drivers worked on an Acer M1200 E1521A
Lan -- Yukon Driver from Acerr M1100
Video -- ATI Driver For the ATI Radeon 2100
Sound -- Realteck High Definition Audio V2.06
Haven't found the SM Bus Controller Driver yet.

The SM bus controller driver comes with the Radeon 2100 control center. I'm guessing you skipped the control center and just went for the driver (my first choice at least). I think the links you are looking for are here:
Control Center

Pick and Choose Drivers

My M1200 E1512A (thanks to your help) is now running with no unknown devices in control panel.

For the SM Bus Drivers, I had to go to the Gigabyte web site,(or to your board manufacturer) and find a mb that was running the 740G chipset, and they are there(install the English version, not the multi-language), and the Marvel Generic driver from the M1100 worked for the onboard LAN.

You folks might get some help for Realtek HD audio by reading this thread:

I found the v2.04 driver on many sites but am unable to locate the v2.06. I'll keep looking and post if I find anything else.
