Hello,

As much as I didn't want to bother anyone for drivers or help- I'm running low on my resources and ability.

I'm rebuilding a computer and it has an "Hitachi LG GCE-8320B CD-R/RW 32x 10x 40x Drive". I'm using Win 98SE which seemed to claim that it saw the drive. The problem is that when I installed a burner software the software claimed there wasn't any burner drives in the computer. Aparently, whatever driver Win 98SE installed sees the drive as only a regular CD (and it does read CDs, just doesn't write to any blanks).

I've tried looking for a driver here and at a number of sites (Hitachi and LG as well) without any luck and was hoping that someone could help diect me to where I can find this driver (or perhaps there's something else I can try that I'm not aware of).

As always, thank you in advance for your time and help.

If the recording software doesn't recognize the blank disk that's been inserted into the drive, then the recording software is too old and outdated. You must get a newer version that includes support for the GCE-8320B drive. Or you may be able to get a software update to your current Roxio version.
