Most modern USB optical drives do not require a driver. They are plug and play in Windows XP. In the case when it isn't, you will normally find a problem in the USB port, a defective drive, or a very early model USB drive that does require a driver. If it does require a driver, then you should be able to find it fairly easy on the manufacturers website.
