Hi there.

Since Elitegroup M766 type is a Pentium-III capable motherboard based on obsolete second revision of ICH southbridge and rare i810 northbridge you will defiinitely except problems with compatibility. I guess this ACPI compatibility error states that your system is so-called 99% ACPI-compatible. This all happens because of trails of legacy ISA bus support which has gone in newer chipsets for Pentium 4 etc. Since Vista have no predefinitions for ISA handling (as well as XP, actually) you probably wont install Vista on your PC due to this technical limitation.
I suggest that you change your PC for something newer like Pentium 4 - based or some Athlon XP stuff. Such devices are lower-budget class now and i could tell you that i've sucessfully installed and ran smoothly genuine Vista on a Athlon XP 2800+ (1.2Ghz) CPU based system. Its time for changing your hardware.
