The Acerpower M8 was never shipped from Acer with Windows XP installed.... only Vista. Hence Acer will not have drivers that are easily found and might noit even exist.

The mcp61sm-am motherboard was custom built by Foxconn for Acer and Packard-Bell. Here's the matching board from Packard Bell if you wish to try the drivers from them:

http://support.packardbell.com/es/item/index.php?i=cnt_motherboard_MCP61SM&t=&g=&c=

However, they only have a couple of drivers listed for Windows XP.

Since it's a desktop, you can use Everest Home Edition. It might be able to locate XP drivers:

To find make and model of pc hardware, EVEREST Home Edition is a free system diagnostics, system information program that will id most hardware onboard a mb. as well as the actual motherboard.

Alternate Everest download link: (offers 2 sites to dl program from)

Run the program and then:

Click on Computer
Click on Summary
Right hand window (hardware) if the text is BLUE this is a link to the web site for that particular hardware.

If you have additional questions or need further help, please post a SUMMARY report from Everest.
