Been simply unable to find a driver for this anywhere :S

Just formatted my nephews computer, for some reason XP will not install or upgrade. I've put Windows 98SE on it for him, but cannot find a driver for the USB ports.

Driver Guide Scan Tool will not work with 98SE. MSMXL 3.0 is installed, and the program still fails to work.

There are no USB drivers available in the database. And no drivers at all for the motherboard ECS 651-M-V 1.0.

I did manage to get the drivers for the motherboard from the manufactorers website, but it doesn't include drivers for the USB ports. Standard drivers for USB2.0 ports (Belkin) are not recognised by the computer.

Does your motherboard have USB 2.0 controller? If it doesn't, your will only have USB 1.1. USB drivers are posted on the manufacturers website:

http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Downloads/ProductsDetail_Download.aspx?detailid=362&DetailName=Driver&DetailDesc=&CategoryID=1&MenuID=6&LanID=9

However. the USB driver posted is for Windows 2000.

What is the Belkin model number of this device?

Thank you, must have missed that one when I downloaded all the others :hdspin: Even though it was for 2000 it seems to be working. The Belkin device was a 4 port USB hub, no model number, but it seems to be working now.

Thank you again.
