A few days ago my cd rw drive just stopped reading all disks. When I put in a disk it acts like it wants to read it, but it can't or it won't. I tried upgrading the drivers...but nothing. I opened the cpu and nothing looked wrong. I'm stumped, pleeeeease help me!!!!

You tried upgrading the drivers how? With what? If this drive is run on a Windows 95 up thru XP machine, there are no drivers so upgrading cannot happen. All support for internal ide cd-rw devices is provided natively by the Windows os and by recording software... not by non-existant drivers. You most likely have a registry problem or ide port problem but since you included no information, helping you is a bit difficult. Next time state what os you have and some details from device manager.
