I have a G3 desktop machine (grey) running 9.2.2. The machine has had trouble recently and now the two usb ports do not see anything connected to them. The system profiler knows they are there. Should I reinstall a driver and where can I get it from?

USB card; pci1045,c861: card revision 16: Card vendor ID 1045

Thankyou,

P Hudson

Try to unplug then replug your usb devices after bootup process finished all tasks. (when there are no Harddisk processes)

It solves the problem, but I am searching the new drivers for the PCI USB card too.

Re: pci1045,c861 driver

I'm having the same problem. My USB was working before I upgraded to 9.2.2. I tried unpluging everything from the USB rebooting, and the devices still aren't recognized, nothing happens when I plug in a thumb drive or my printer (not seen in chooser). I went to the apple site, but their USB support driver won't work with 9.2.2 since it's supposed to contain it already.

Device manager shows PCI slot B1 USB Card , card name: pci1045,c861 Card model: -1 Card ROM: Not available. Card revision: 16 Card Vendor ID: 1045

I don't want my email address on the web for spam bots, but it's no.email.addys then the at sign then allowed.com
