For a laptop or desktop?

Motherboard brand and model (if retail)?

PC brand and model (if OEM)?

Note: Realtek sound chips are use by hundreds of motherboard makers and pc system builders. Most are unique and require a specific driver from the vendor. If your system is a desktop, you can get generic drivers from the Realtek website (www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/). But if your pc is a laptop, generic drivers won't work on it. However, in order to be able to choose the correct driver from Realtek, you must know the sound chip number as Realtek makes several different sound chips.
