Via and Realtek (no Realtech) are 2 totally different companies.

Please answer the following:

1: Is this an add-on type sound card or integrated on the motherboard?
2: If integrated, is the motherboard a retail mb or OEM?
3: If oem, what is the brand and model of the pc?
4: If retail motherboard, what is the brand and model?
5: What is the Realtek or Via chipset number?

Note: AC97 is not a model number, it's simple a term adopted by Microsoft in 1997 for sound standards. There are very few sound chipset makers in the world.... amongst them are Realtek, Cmedia, ADI SoundMax, and Sigmatel.
