You must determine the Cmedia chipset number first. AC97 is not a model number.... it's a term Microsoft adopted in 1997 setting sound standards.

Are you sure it's a pci/isa card? Most Cmedia chipsets are integrated on a motherboard.

It might help if you state what motherboard you have (if it's a retail MB) and your pc brand and model (if it's OEM).
