Alright so i replaced my motherboard for a RS400-A from Elite Group and i can't find a working sound driver. I checked the mobo's website already http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?DetailId=507&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=1&LanID=0
On the site it does have a particular download link to the on-board driver which is *ac'97* version 3.98(6220) i tried downloading and installing but it always results in failure. When installing a message saying *rtkvac.sys not found* comes up and quits the installer. Is there any way to fix this?? Is there another set of driver/drivers i could install? BTW:The ac'97 driver on my mobo's website only supports;Windows 98 ; Windows Me ; Windows 2000 ; Windows XP ; Windows XP 64bit edition and i have vista.. Sorry im such a noob. Sooo yeah. Any help is apreciated thanks much :)
