R U sure this is a PCI/ISA card or do you have integrated audio chipset? If the later, please identify the pc brand and model it came installed in.

Or try these:

It is integrated with the nVIDIA nforce 430 motherboard if thats what you mean. The computer is a dell dimension c521. I've been to both those links and they both have the same result: nVIDIA installer, installs nicely, asks for a reboot, and afterwards the driver still won't initiate. It gives a Code 10, but I don't know what that means.

The 2nd link I gave in earlier post is the correct driver from Dell. It's the same driver as used in the Dimension E520 & E521. However, to be on the safe side, this is the specific Sigmatel driver from Dell for the C521:

http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/downloads/en/downloads_splash?c=us&l=en&s=gen&~mode=popup&file=175946

Applies to: STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio

This is the page where the download link is posted: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R132395&SystemID=DIM_P4_C521&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=8907&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=1&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=3&fileid=175946

This system does not have a PCI/ISA sound card... it's integrated (built onto the motherboard) as I guess in my first post. It works when installed properly. Try uninstalling all Sigmatel listings in Device Manager, then re-install this driver from a fresh start.

Code 10 simply means the driver did not install properly and instructions from Microsoft dealing with the code error number states to re-install the driver.

Thanks, that solved everything. I had uninstalled the driver through the device manager but forgot to delete the files from the default nvidia folder. I'm gonna name my kid Jerry. Well not really but you get the idea. Thanks.
