i bought yesterday a cdrw/dvd rom TEAC DW 548 D , i installed it on my pc ( like slave , on the same conector as the existing cd rom , which remains master )Now, my PC ( OS WIN 98 SE ) see teac only as simple cd rom and NERO 5.5 cannot burn any cd.
what could be the problem ?
The DW came without any installation software.

Windows 98 os can only provide support that allows the drive to READ a data or music disk. Recording software is responsible for burning disks. You must have Nero version 5.5.10.29 (or higher) to get support for this drive. If you need an update, please visit the Nero website. :hdspin:
