I have just installed a Belkin Hi-Speed, USB 2, 3-Port PCI card into my PC (Pentium IV 1.8 Ghz with XP SP2), this was recognised by WIndows XP, installed and all appeared to be ok. Unfortunately when I check the Device Manager there is a yellow exclamation mark against the newly added "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller" and the same against the additional two "Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controllers"; which when clicked on tell me that "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system."
I really need this Hi-Speed USB for rapid data transfer, are you able to advise me on what I should do. I already have x4 USB 1.1ports which came built in with the original PC and I'm guessing my motherboard wont support anymore but I'm not sure what to do. I have installed a BIOS update for my motherboard (MS 6524 Ver 1) but no improvement. Very grateful for any help - thank you.
