Pls anybody help
I have toshiba desk top (7 years old). Cd-rom was not working, I removed the side panel and removed the ribbon and noticed one of the pin is broken. trying to remove it, but no success. removed the screws, tried to find any lock etc. but could not find it.
Can you help me STEP-BY-STEP (emphasis added) how to remove and install the new one.

Check both sides of the drive for additional screws. Then check front sides (left and right) of drive for release mechanisms as some drives are mounted in slide rails that lock when inserted. If your drive has this slide mechanism, then you should be able to release it with slight inward finger pressure, tugging outward on the drive while releasing slide locks. :hdspin:
