OS is Windows 2000 Professional SP4.
Dynex website doesn't even have a driver for this item on their site. The item didn't come with any install disc. I can't find a driver anywhere. Other pcs on the network are Vista OS and work fine. This older pc cannot find a connection. Is the OS simply too old?
Edit: always check one's connections before assuming the worst! My son didn't have one end plugged in fully. But he is finally breaking down and installing his upgrade that he didn't really want...he prefers the older 2000, but has, and is finally installing, XP.
If there's a problem after the upgrade is complete, or not, I will let you know.
One side note - is there a way to delete one's post, if it is found to be unneeded? I feel more than a bit embarrassed, and would love to just make this post go away!
Another edit:
Everything's working fine, now. Just wish I now how to delete this (embarrassing) thread...
