This kind of request appears on this forum at least 3-4 times a day and the answer is still going to be the same. No such sound chipset exists. Please say what pc brand and model or motherboard brand and model this device comes installed in.

There are only a few sound chipset makers in the world amongst the more popular are Realtek, Cmedia, ADI SoundMax, and Sigmatel.

"AC 97" is not a sound chipset number nor a model number, it's simply a term adopted by Microsoft in 1997 designating sound standards.

And Intel 82801DB can be just about anything.... it certainly doesn't designate a sound chipset.

Please READ the dozens of identical requests and you will find that you must identify the device by what it came installed in.

HI i am after this driver also. i will chip in my pennys worth with the details i found running diagnostics. sold as ei systems p4 mch. inside dixonsxp/755ix/buss133/1.60ghz/504mb/. video 82845g/gl/gv/ge/pe. audio 82801db (ich4) ac97. modem same as audio. network dp83815 10/100. what i think i need is intel i/o controller hub82801db 3.53 being the version no.hope this help regards.
