hi
reloaded xp now no sound . i think i need a new driver . in the device properties message reads device cannot start code 10 . tried searching and reloading , no way .

Brand and model of PC or motherboard?

What chipset number is the Cmedia chip? (AC97 is not)

pc is a systemax amd athlon xp 1473mhz
motherboard gigabyte technology
chipset not sure but maybe southbridge via vt8233/8235
audio controller type via8233/8235/8237
codec 1D ffffffffh
chipset manufacture via technoligies
