We recently went from windows 98 to windows xp-home and now it says that there is no sound card device. it is a legacy sound card and we downloaded a legacy driver but i dont know how to install it. Any sugestions?

Go to control panel >> add hardware >> do it manually the configuration of the driver. Check if the plate is correctly fixed on the slot.
