I downloaded a driver for my HP 1315xi PSC and cannot seem to get anything to work! Can anyone give me some instructions for this. I am not very good with computers. The device does have a usb cable, if that makes any difference. I downloaded the driver and nothing seems to happen. When I try to use the printer installation and search for the driver, nothing is found. Help! Thanks.

You have to install the driver after downloading it. Most drivers are in EXE format. That means that by simply double-clicking the file it will either self-install or self-extract to be manually installed. Install the driver and during installation it will tell you when to plug the printer in.

Where on my computer do I find the file? Where do they usually download to? Thanks!

Pay attention to the screen during downloading and you'll know where it downloaded to. if you can't determine that, download it again, except this time choose the download path. (and remember what it is). It doesn't make any difference where it downloads to, the important thing is to remember where so you can find it to install.
