I recently had my computer reformatted or something(i know nothing about computers) The guy put windows XP on it and said that the sound wont work that i have to go download a sound device or something, he gave me the driverguide website. Well I dont understand any of this at all. I wasnt sure what my computer is and someone told me that its ASUS CUSI-M...can anyone help me??please im completely clueless

You'll first have to identify the particular sound card in your machine.

well the one thing you can do is firsy identify the sound card if you dont know dont worry i got the cure download the drivers guide tool kit and follow along with it it will find the right driver you need as a matter of fact it will find all drivers you need good luck
Some sound drivers need to be installed via the add/delete hardware panel after unzipping - plus they can be quite slow to install, (instructions don't often say so). Once you find your driver - note the particular installation process via notepad and then add the lot to a folder for burning, just in case you need to reinstall again...

Try reinstalling XP, it worked for me.
