I am attempting to reformat an Dell Inspiron 3800 laptop and reinstall ME OS. I have found the the accompanying driver disk is fractured into pieces.
1). Is there a way to get a new driver disk from Dell? I called support and I got a person from India that promised to help and then came back ten minutes later and said no!...then hung-up.
2) Or do I have to do it 'peace meal' and find out what brand the modem and CD Rom drive are along with the graphics chip and all that other stuff and then search for the drivers?
3) Or will the ME Os installation disk have the drivers include?

I have several computers but never had a separate driver disk for any of them.

Appreciate any help...

Some of the drivers will be on the ME CD, you can go here to the dell site for most drivers for this board:
