Hello. I have a problem with my dvd/rw drive. My computer freezes when I put in a cd. If the cd is in befor I start the computer this some times wont happen. I replaced the drive just because and I am still having this problem. HELP! The manufacturer isn't any help here.

If you replaced the drive and you still have the same problem, doesn't that tell you that the problem isn't in the drive? What kind of disk are you putting in that makes the system freeze? A regular cd data or music disk or a dvd movie disk?

once we know that, perhaps we can offer some assistance. However, it sounds like you have a software or operating system problem and not a drive problem.
