Yes, most all speakers plug into the tower or desktop... does this statement mean anything other than what it reads?

If you mean "have Realtek sound chipset" that might mean something to us but what Realtek chipset... they made several and each one requires a unique driver.

Speaker do not require drivers (unless of course they connect via USB). However, sound chipsets do require a driver to provide sound to the speakers.

If you are wanting a sound chipset driver, you need to say so and then you need to identify the sound chipset.

Most laptop and desktop makers provide drivers for their system but when you don't identify the system, there's not much we can do for you other than suggest the following software:

To find make and model of pc hardware, EVEREST Home Edition is a free system diagnostics, system information program that will id most hardware onboard a mb. as well as the actual motherboard.

Run the program and then:

Click on Computer
Click on Summary
Right hand window (hardware) if the text is blue this is a link to the web site for that particular hardware.
