DRIVER NEEDED: ATI ati sb450 high definition audio controller (Windows XP Professional) [SCSI]

I have Toshiba laptop dual core with ati xpress 200 chipset.I recently formatted and the sound is not working.I have everest and it is showing that the sound device is ati sb450 high definition audio controller.where do i get the driver.I downloaded some driver software from ati's site yet the sound is not back.

You cannot use generic drivers on a laptop. You must use specific drivers made for your laptop from the laptop manufacturer or you must used "hacked" laptop drivers. Attempting to use generic drivers will result in a failed installation. www.omegadrivers.net offers some ATI hacked laptop video drivers that you might want to try but I'd suggest you obtain the correct driver from the manufacturer (ie: Toshiba)

and video and graphics adapters do not have a SCSI interface. Most are integrated on the motherboard.

The latest drivers found in www.realtek.com.tw may solve your problem.

I have an Acer Aspire 5050 and had the same problem. The drivers provided by the equipment's manufacturer didn't work correctly, general dll errors occurred.

If this solution don't work, in the same website (Realtek) is a link for another audio driver for the ATI embedded products, try this.
