Well , Will you may have fried somthing inside your setup when you jump started the mother board. IT'S a very bad thing to do with a screw driver with the power on. You may try takeing out the internal batterry from the motherboard...turn it on for a about 5 secounds and then turn it off put batterry back in re-place the video card into a different slot and then try to start it. If it will not start on its own though without the screw driver I don't know what to tell ya.....GT

Where do you get those special "jumpstart screwdrivers"? I have about 10 motherboards like that and I need one of those screwdrivers. :disturbed
Hi William, did you figure out how to get your mb to work?
I see you must have an atx board as you are trying to start the computer using the soft switch. It is not a good idea to try to start the computer using a screwdriver, you can use a jumper to temp turn on the computer, if you are testing the board. If nothing shows up on the screen, this could be due to no memory installed or incompatible memory for your board, also it maybe that your jumpers are not set for the right CPU you have installed. Or is the CPU installed correctly? Maybe try inserting the video card in another PCI slot (preferably the first slot). Does the fan in the powersupply and the CPU run after you shorted out the pins on the mb? Hopefully these steps may help...
