I checked the MSI website; there is NO listing for an MS-7254 motherboard; in fact, I didn't find a listing for ANY mobo that began with MS-72xx, so recheck the numbers and post them here.

Which CPU does it use (AMD or Intel)? Which CPU socket does it have? Which chips are on it (northbridge or southbridge)? If it really IS an MS-7254, it must be an OEM board for HP, Compaq, Gateway, or some other company.

Provide as many details about that mobo as you can, so we can help you find the drivers...

HP Compaq dx2200(EN286UT#ABA) Microtower PC, Pentium 4 524(3.06GHz) 512MB DDR2 80GB ATI Radeon Integrated Graphics Windows XP Pro - Retail

Sold by Newegg.com recently. This is probably a de-branded HP/Compaq. Similiar models are sold by different companies that have a surplus of them and cannot get rid of all of them. Then sell them bulk to discount/blowout companies like Newegg.

MS-xxxx is a number that is silkscreened on all MSI motherboards. However, it is not the actual motherboard model. If you have tigereyes, you might be able to notice the MS-xxxx number silkscreened on the mb in this photo:

HP has all available drivers for this motherboard posted here: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=1844702&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=1844701&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1093

Motherboards can require several drivers depending on what hardware is on-board.

This particular mb should have the following:

Realtek audio
ATI Video
Agere chipset modem
Broadcom, Realtek 8139c, or Belkin Wireless NIC
and probably and Intel chipset sata controller

If this is not the correct mb, then I suggest you use Everest Home Edition software to help you identify the hardware:

To find make and model of pc hardware, EVEREST Home Edition is a free system diagnostics, system information program that will id most hardware onboard a mb. as well as the actual motherboard.
