I have an old Panasonic impact printer model KX-P2135, that i use for creating tattoo stencils. I had it working fine a couple of months ago, but then we moved to a new city and i just hooked it back up and cannot get it to work for the life of me. I've re-installed the driver, gone thru the troubleshooting wizard for Windows XP, and it just keeps telling me that the print job failed. All the drivers that i can find on here are for Windows 95, 98, but nothing for XP. But like i said, it was working fine before i unhooked everything and moved. I can't figure out why it all of a sudden won't work. I don't have the manual for the printer, and i cant figure out which combination of buttons to push to make it do a self test. the printer powers on and comes online and everything seems to be fine with the printer itself.....Does anyone have any suggestions????? I'm about ready to throw the stupid thing in the street....................

Panasonic never release a driver for Windows XP for any of their old impact printers. The only support is the drivers that Microsoft included with the Windows XP os. The only thing is there is none for KX-P2135. The closest match is KX-P2124. You didn't say what driver you have installed so it's bit difficult to guess what's wrong.

I'd suggest using one of the drivers (included with XP) that's closest to your model number and make sure your lpt port is working ok in Device Manager.
