I downloaded a monitor display driver from this site and unzipped it. I don't see anything where it tells me where or how to install it. Th driver is for the monitor I have from Sampo Technology. The Alphascan 711 19" monitor. Where do I place this file? Thank you!

You don't place it... when you chose "update driver" just point to the folder where you unzipped this file... Windows will do the rest for you.
eg: Control Panel, Display icon, Settings tab, Advanced, Monitor Tab, Change, Next, choose "display a list....", Next, Have Disk, point to where you saved the driver file, OK. :)

Thanks....will this bring back the 640x480 video mode that couldn't be found as I mentioned also at this site in another message by me?

Please do not create multiple threads and double posts. If you need to add to a post, just click the EDIT button and add your additional comments.
Just about any correct video driver has 640x480 capabilities... most can go to 800x600 or higher.
